We’ve lived in Texas for almost seven years now and will celebrate our eighth wedding anniversary in January. Our family and friends are spread across the US and the world; even with cell phones and e-mail it often feels like they’re cut off from our everyday life. This blog is an attempt to share more of our day to day adventures with the folks who are important to us.
For now, we’re gonna try a public blog so anyone can read it but because our names are pretty unique (well, at least one of them shows up on the first page of a Google search), we’re gonna try not to use our real names. We ask that you not refer to us by name in the comments.
Without further ado, the characters in this little blog…
Captain Y: Husband, son, grandson, brother, uncle, lover of fishing, hunting, movies, U2 and all things outdoors; the official deer slayer for our little family.
Plant Girl: Wife, daughter, sister, aunt, lover of plants, baking, sewing, reading and all things outdoors; the official chocolate chip cookie maker for our little family.
Sasha: Four legged, sweet, furry girl; the only one who can lie around all day and get away with it.
Gaston: Disconcertingly immobile twelve point buck; the most recent addition to the house hold.
Whoohoo! Another blog to follow! We look forward to hearing all about your adventures, Captain Y and Plant Girl. We even made your blog list! I really thought this post was going to end with an introduction to a baby or something. I guess Gaston will have to do for now.
