Our new roommate moved in this week. Meet Abraham.
First we introduced Sasha.
After giving Abraham a thorough sniffing she was not too
concerned with our new addition.
Then, we did a side by side comparison so the guys could see
they had no reason to be jealous of one another.
I think putting them side by side really shows the
differences between the two deer species.
Look how much thicker Gaston’s neck is then Abraham's. And Abraham has a brown nose whereas Gaston’s
is black, their noses and ears are different shapes, not to mention the difference in their racks. Abraham is an Axis and they never get more than 6 points. But, I don't think this photo shows the actual height of Abraham's antlers.
Finally, we secured Abraham in his new home.
Welcome to the family Abraham, and don't listen to Gaston, there is no way I would make you wear costumes, that is just silly ;-)
